How to host a Kitchen Table conversation

14 June 2020

with Georgie Somerset & Kristy Frahm (ARLF Alumni)

“We have had some fantastic gems come from them for our region, and a high level of engagement. We will continue a conversation after this, with less focus on Covid-19 and more on the future, but this has been an excellent entrée” – Georgie Somerset on her recent kitchen table conversations.

Have you hosted, considered or are you already planning a kitchen table conversation to contribute to the discussion regarding:

  1. What we want for rural, regional and remote Australia and
  2. What we need to do to take hold of these opportunities?

Georgie Somerset and Kristy Frahm from the inland Burnett region, will lead a discussion about their approach to hosting a kitchen table conversation including what they have learnt and its relevance to the bigger picture.

Date:          Friday 17 July

This lunchtime webinar will showcase the South Burnett Kitchen Table conversation. Remember our invitation is to YOU, to bring 5-10 people to YOUR table for a discussion on the questions posed above. They do not need to be ARLF alumni but may be from your program cohort, Kimberley group, workplace, region or industry. We are also able to connect you with other alumni in your region.

A reminder of the process can be found on our website.

Thank you to those who have already hosted their table and reported back to us. You too may wish to join the webinar, share and learn further (should you and your guests wish to take further steps).

To others, please get involved, learn from one another and be part of what has been described as a very rich experience.
