Regenerate Eurobodalla is a fully-funded leadership development program building leadership capacity for resilience and sustainability.

A Trusted Leadership Network
Regenerate Eurobodalla is a leadership development program in response to the 2019-20 bushfire season. This intensive program engages participants in an 18-month learning journey that combines a blend of face-to-face workshops, action learning, online support, project delivery, coaching and mentoring. Designed for current and emerging leaders, it provides a deep dive into personal leadership, working in and leading teams. It gives you the skills and understanding to lead and build resilience in communities and organisations.

Thanks to our program partners and government funding, this program is free. You should note that you will be required to cover travel and personal expenses for the course of the program.

Session 1: 19-24 March & 25-27 August 2023
Session 2: 16-21 April 2023 & 15-17 September 2023

Who can participate?
Rural landholders or managers, emergency first responders and local government employees who want to build resilience in their communities and improve future bushfire responses.
Who should apply?
Numbers are limited to 24 people to ensure this is a very personal, selective and ‘hands-on’ learning experience! This program is for people who have passion and empathy, and what to make a genuine difference in their team, community, or sector. Someone who want to engage more people in building new enterprises and driving change for the good of the public. It’s for small business owners who want to learn new skills, for current and emerging leaders in local government or higher, and for those leading an interest group who have a stake in Eurobodalla.
We care a lot about what you’ve done and even more about what you want to do. We want to support and assist you in making productive change happen. Ideally, we are seeking a diverse group of program participants that truly represents all segments of our community.

A unique partnership
Regenerate Eurobodalla is a partnership between Southcoast Health and Sustainability Alliance (SHASA) the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation (ARLF) and the program facilitators Global Learning.
SHASA has been at the forefront in championing renewable energy, sustainability and community resilience projects across the Shire.
The ARLF is preeminent in the development and support for strong leaders in rural, regional and remote Australia. Global Learning has been at the forefront of leadership development for more than 30 years and has worked extensively across corporate, government, community and not-for-profit organisations. They are now Eurobodalla based.

Steve works at the intersection of social, business, and natural environments. From his first business venture in 1977, founding a wilderness guiding and expedition company, he learned the importance and the skills needed to lead teams, collaborate, and work together.

Mark works and plays with leaders and teams on the forward edge of personal and system innovation. The complex system problems of the 21st century cannot be solved with old ways of thinking.

You must attend all sessions in order to graduate from the program. Our programs are designed to build your awareness and experience throughout the sessions. Experiential learning is one of the most engaging and deep methods of learning. Wrapping up your learnings and reflection is crucial for a positive learning experience. If you don’t intend to commit, this program may not be right for you.

Residential programs are designed to create more time for networking and building social connections through evening activities. Also, being away from home and the habitual place of work, takes away those distractions that come with everyday life. This way, you can fully immerse yourself into the learning experience.
Aside from some travel and personal expenses to, from and during sessions, the program is free to attend thanks to our program partners.

Regional leadership programs don’t just benefit individual participants. They also benefit the cohort and the entire community.
At an individual level, you invest in yourself to develop the skills, mindset and network to understand and influence uncertainty and create vibrant communities for generations to come.
You grow your networks within and outside of your community, by joining the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation’s national network. That is more than 1,700 people working for the greater good of their communities.
The community will gain a group of courageous and influential people with the skills to gather support from within the community and their new network to put the plan into action.
