Milparanga Established Leadership Program

You can expect to:

  • Network with other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders from across Australia in a culturally safe place
  • Visit diverse locations and hear from a range of speakers providing different perspectives on leadership
  • Build relationships and feel empowered to put skills into action
  • Learn how to preparing for change and use influence to support others in the process of change
  • Apply your awareness of culture, gender, politics, social and environmental systems and history to inform your decisions and actions
  • Develop a strong network of peers who are committed to leadership action and the impact of working collaboratively

Activities you’ll engage in.

  • Hear stories from Indigenous leaders
  • Visit culturally significant sites to learn about Indigenous history and legacies
  • Meet and workshop with Milparanga alumni
  • Challenging outdoor recreational components
  • Activities that will help you develop self-awareness and how to communicate with others
  • Behavioural/Personality profiling activities (Awareness of self and others)
  • Media training to work with media and participate in radio interviews
  • Robust conversations that will honour existing skills and knowledge, as well as provoke thoughts and assumptions

Cost per participant:

Each participant is required to pay a program administration and membership fee of $300+gst.
