Dennis Mutton served on the Board from 2000 to 2007 and was treasurer and chair of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation’s Audit and Finance Committee. Dennis had a long and distinguished career in the South Australian public sector as chief executive of Primary Industries and Resources South Australia and, prior to that, of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and the Woods and Forests Department. Dennis also held positions as deputy president and commissioner of the Murray-Darling Basin Commission. He is now a consultant in natural resource management, industry development, primary industries and mineral resources, regional growth initiatives, business–government relations, leadership and human resource development.
