Upcoming fundraiser your chance to give back

As a not-for-profit, we rely on our valued partners and sponsors who, in turn, believe in the value of and our ability to develop changemakers and adaptive leaders committed to the great good.

We also run two regular fundraisers each year: a tax appeal in May and June and a Christmas appeal in November and December.

This year we will be running a third fundraiser to mark our 30th anniversary, but more on that at a later date.

Over the last year, more than 100 alumni have donated to our fundraising appeals.

Our donors awarded an Alumni Scholarship to Oli Le Lievre on the Australian Rural Leadership Program 28. Oli was a magnificent candidate who didn’t fit into an industry-based scholarship neatly.

Amongst other commitments, Oli contributes to giving rural, regional and remote Australia a voice via his podcast Humans of Agriculture.

Believe it or not, we almost always turn down fabulous ARLP candidates who don’t fit the available industry-based scholarships at the time. People and impacts are diverse. That is why we fundraise for our ARLP Alumni Scholarship. As alumni, we hope that affording the opportunity to participate in the ARLP is a cause worth giving to that keeps you connected and engaged with a shared vision of thriving rural, regional and remote communities strengthening the nation and its neighbours.

During the pandemic, our fundraising donations also assisted two participants experiencing financial difficulties at the height of the pandemic. Without them, they may not have been able to complete the program.

In 2021, we were also able to upgrade our program first aid kit with two portable defibrillators. It’s a vital piece of equipment we hope we never have to use.
