Milparanga International

Cross-cultural leadership development for First Nations leaders. Milparanga International is a 10-day leadership development program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander alumni of any ARLF program wanting to become more involved and influence change at local, national and international levels.

Eligibility

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples aged 21 years and over from anywhere in Australia and the Torres Strait who are alumni of an ARLF leadership program.

Yes, it is. Milparanga is facilitated by an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander team and the content is designed and considered through a cultural lens.

All program costs, including travel, are intended to be covered by our sponsors. You are only required to pay an  administration fee of approximately $1,100 (depending on sponsorship amounts). If you cannot pay this fee for personal reasons, get in touch with us. We will consider your situation on a case-by-case basis and support you where we can.

Yes, we will provide an itemised packing list a few weeks out from coming on the program, and we can assist with items you may not be able to get in your local community.

Your safety is important to us and we hope you don’t get sick or injured on the program. We do have first aid officers on all programs to assist in an emergency. Should you contract COVID, we have a response plan in place and will work to get you home as quickly as possible

As this program is an immersive experience, mobile phones may be removed for periods in order to enhance your engagement and experience. You also may not have mobile phone reception for some periods on the program. Your family will be given contact information in the case of an emergency and your program facilitator will be notified.

As this is an immersive (and international) program, we do ask that you make prior arrangements with your workplace. Please inform them that you will not be able to work during the period of the program.
