Richard has lived most of his life in rural and regional Australia, and has led leadership and strategy development across most of Australia and New Zealand. He is a highly-respected CEO, Chair and Governance specialist with 30 years’ experience leading both very large and highly specialised organisations.
Richard is Harvard-qualified in Leadership, Governance and Management, and holds multiple post-graduate qualifications from Australian universities. His experience and connections across business, government and NFP organisations nationwide enable a practical real-world understanding of issues, integrated with best-practice leadership approaches.
Richard has a particular focus on rural and regional leadership, gender equity leadership, multicultural leadership, and leadership for people with a disability. He understands the importance of a robust economy in order to support the wellbeing of individuals, communities, and a sustainable environment.
Richard has been awarded an Order of Australia. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a longstanding and active Rotarian, a Paul Harris Fellow, and a member of the Royal Society of Victoria.
