Tristan Richmond

In my role I draw upon my passion for education and collaboration to create and strengthen partnerships with industry, government and other key stakeholders to deliver on-the-ground impact and build leadership capacity in regional, rural and remote communities.

When I’m not at work you’ll find me walking trails, riding motorcycles and working on my project car.

Where does your passion for rural, regional and remote Australia come from?

I grew up on a farm and have spent many years living and working in regional New South Wales across multiple industries and have seen firsthand the impact that leadership development can have on individuals and communities.

What’s your favourite memory or most memorable moment in rural, regional and remote Australia?

A clear memory I have of spending time in rural, regional and remote Australia is standing atop Mount Panorama in Bathurst, in winter, early in the morning after having jogged to the summit where it overlooked Bathurst and the surrounding countryside which was all perfectly white with frost.

What’s your professional background?

Prior to joining the ARLF I worked in the education industry for an organisation that delivered STEM programs to high school students in partnership with NASA and the space industry.

The three things I enjoy most about working for the foundation

  1. The people
  2. The culture
  3. The impact that we have as an organisation on empowering regional, rural and remote Australia.

We’re making a real
difference in Australia. Join us.

You can support us to drive change and create a serious impact in your organisation, sector, and wider community. It’s not just enhancing how you lead, it’s building your own network and contributing for the greater good.
